Ward’s Harbour, Long Island
Taken in one of the tiny niches on Long Island in North Dame Bay, what we always called Ward's Harbour, in February of this year. My uncle took it and I told him to send it to you, because I believe it has a beautiful, serene calmness with it. He said, "Naw, you send it." This is what makes tiny rural communities like this one so special. That's where I'm from originally - Beaumont, Long Island. Now I live about one hundred miles away by road, in beautiful Shoe Cove, Green Bay. The cod is gone, and the crab are going. There will soon be nothing for us, so that's why I believe when we get something as beautiful as this picture, we should show the world what we do have around us. My uncle Alex Croucher took the picture, from his house looking across Ward's Harbour to what we call Paddock's Cove. Submitted By: NULL
