If you don't notice the big ones, then you will certainly miss these. Belonging to the genus Galirena, the tallest of this pair is just 2 cm high- about the width of your finger. These are growing in sphagnum moss, visible at the base of the mushrooms and forming the colours in the background. This variety is one of many species in the genus. Some are edible, some are lethal and they can only be distinguished using a magnifier of some sort.   Submitted By: Jim Cornish
