Unmanned by his Own Grandchild
The year, I believe, was 1993; we always took our grandson Ryan camping on our summer holidays near Toronto, Ontario. He was our first, now there are six. One day we went into Beaverton to do some shopping. Ryan (who was four at the time) and I went browsing while his grandmother shopped for our daily groceries. I bought a small toy for Ryan and headed to the counter to pay. While waiting, a young boy was in front of us with his mother. The young lad bumped into me, and his mother told him to watch the man that you don't bump into him again. Well, at this point, my grandson looked up at the lady and said. "That's not a man, that's my GRAMPIES," which he always called me (his face being so very serious). The lady looked at me and we burst out laughing. We often reminisce and have a good laugh about this. Ryan is now 20 and living and working in Plate Cove, NL. Thought you might like this as much as we like telling it. Submitted By: NULL
