We had just finished soaking in the sun and watching whales off in the distance at Cape Bonavista, and on the walk back to the car, I noticed this sweet bird among the rocks and moss. I quickly grabbed my camera and managed to get a few frames. Funny how sometimes the unexpected moments turn out to be the most memorable. Surprisingly, this little Savannah Sparrow ended up being one of my favourite shots from the weekend - even more then the whales or the puffins!
