Trick or treat
Trick or Treat Pumpkin, witches, goblins and ghosts, Halloween is here Everyone is gearing up, there's excitement in the air Kids dress up from head to toe, their identities to hide Skeletons, pirates, clowns and masks some dare not go outside Scooting along from house to house, thousands of little feet At the door a knock they give and murmur, "trick or treat" Opening their bags for goodies too, tasty morsels all Stopping to eat a candy or two, everyone's having a ball Soon the time is running out, they have to go back home Mom is worried as darkness comes, especially being alone On the floor or the beds, they dump the contents out And begin their feast in earnest now, wrappers all about Another year they long to come, it's over much too soon In the beds, lights are out, 'cept the shinning of the moon Suddenly they appear again as kids begin to dream And in their head they freely reign, the spooks of Halloween - By Ed Power Submitted By: NULL
