I seen the section in the Downhomer called Tossed and Found and I wanted to share my story about my Message in a Bottle that was found after 22 years. My name is Vanessa (Peach) Dunphy and I am from Arnold's Cove, NL now living in Fort McMurray, AB. 22 years ago while traveling to Lower Islands in Placentia Bay on a fishing trip with Friends I released a message in a bottle at the age of 12. At that time I would have never thought it would of taken 22 years to find it, I thought someone would find it in a few days according to the letter. I honestly never thought about that bottle since the day I released it until last summer when my relatives and good Friends Bonnie & Mac Warren found the bottle while walking the beach accross from their home in Arnold's Cove. I was shocked and very amazed to see it had found it's way home afterall. It will never be known if that bottle was there on the beach or roaming the seas but after 22 years someone has gotten the message. I have attached the pictures. Thank you.
