Tommy Ricketts was a soldier in the Royal Newfoundland Regiment during World War 1. On October 14, 1918 he became the youngest combatant to be awarded the Victoria Cross. I created this depiction to commemorate his famous run across No Man's Land to resupply his section commander, Matthew Brazil, with ammunition.
