This was a January afternoon - my husband Dave and I decided to take the kids for a skidoo ride and a boil up. Once in the trail, the children helped to find dry wood to make the fire. Then they roasted wieners, marshmallows and drank hot chocolate. We were no more than 5 kms from home, but it felt as if we were miles away. What a beautiful way to spend an afternoon, our own little vacation. In the photo is Devon Noel 3yrs old, Fredrick Rumbolt 4yrs old (Devon's friend we took along for the experience), and Dylan Noel 18 months. Both Devon and Dylan are our children.
