I was invited to a Veteran’s Biker Potluck last Summer.

So off we go even though we don’t have a Bike.

Does not matter they said.It is only for fun anyway.

Now I had not been around Veteran’s for Years

and it was mostly Couples and fellas dressed a bit Shabby

and If I met one on the Sidewalk I would high tail it

across the Street holding onto my Wallet.

Puting my Prejudice aside.It was great fun.

There was this One fella there I had a sneaky suspicion

that he might be a Newfoundlander.

He was quiet and keeping to himself pulled up to the Island

with his wife and I took my Coffee aside and sure enough

He was a former East Coast Navy Sailor who hailed from

Port Aux Basque and his wife was from there as well.

We started swapping some yarns.I asked him what he missed

the most about back home.He said.”I miss not being able to jump into a

Lake or Pond and go for a Swim.Water is too Cold out here.”

Then he told me about the Three Cougar Sisters who were on

the dating site Plenty of Fish and his Wife agreed it was true.

Turns out that they only had the One set of False Teeth between them

Which ever One had the Date got to wear the Shiny Porceline Beauties.

I wonder what happened if there was a connection and more than one date or if

all three scored a date the same Night.Anyway I thought it was funny.
