Thinking outside the box
"on a recent trip to st. john's where i was born and grew up, i visited the rooms in st. john's and was very impressed with the state of the art interior. indeed it is world class. the exterior is another matter. the structure not only overwhelms the basilica beside it but is so opposed in architectual appearance that it is like having a modern art painting on the living room wall next to da vinci's last supper. i happened to mention the rooms to a the driver of a city wide taxi i was taking one day while i was there. hi reply was, ""the rooms, sure that's the box that the basilica came in.""
