Good Day to our favourite magazine publishers, and fellow Islanders!!! ‘’Wherever we may be travelling in this big wide world, we spread our embedded Newfoundland Charm, and share stories from our favourite little magazine ‘The Downhomer’, wherever we go ! This trip was one of the most amazing adventures, visiting Switzerland, and the Swiss Alps. My niece, Georgia Shields, from Calgary, AB. and myself, Carolyn Walsh, Fort McMurray, AB., had the opportunity to share this beauty together in February 2024, carrying along in our backpacks was our Downhomer magazine of course for our special photos such as this! We made it to the top of Europe! (Daughter & Granddaughter of Mr Carl Walsh of Boswarlos, on the Port au Port Peninsula of Newfoundland), and we will look forward to seeing our smiling faces in one of your upcoming issues.’’
