‘The Shop’
My Grandmother Hogan used to have a little shop before I was born
It was on the way to the beach if you were coming up the shore
It was a nice little spot with table and chairs
Almost like a hangout for teens and their peers
I remember playing in there a few times when I was small
I loved the old Coca Cola Posters on the walls
The pastel colors and even the smell
To this day I still catch a hint of it in a random stairwell
I wish I could have experienced ‘The Shop’ as others did
But glad to have at least seen it and enjoy stories from people as kids
The house is now my Aunts little cottage ‘Around the Bay’
So glad it’s still there to this day~
