The Sacrifice
"And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart Gen. 6:6 Oh God, you looked around with intense gravity And saw us humans in our innate depravity, It grieved your heart that you'd made mankind Who tarnished and fouled your plan and design. Since the fall of Adam years ago The sin of man your eyes behold, In a flash of anger you could banish us Away from your sight and back to the dust. Yet, in righteous mercy your Son you sent He shed his blood, was crucified, scourged and bent, To bear our sins so perverted and depraved Such an enormous sacrifice you gave. Thank you Jesus for taking my place And bearing all my sin and disgrace! " Submitted By: NULL
