Did you ever eat a rhetoric burger?
I'm really sure you did
and many times on the phone
just before going to bed.

The rhetoric burger comes to us
in many shapes and forms.
It can be complicated
and quite the can of worms.

We see it in advertising
in many and varied degrees
oh, it's out there and in plenty
and it's aimed to deceivingly please.

I receive a rhetoric burger
every time I pick up the phone
talking a hundred miles a minute
that could cut you to the bone.

Even in casual conversation
the language is hyped up
the burger can be hot to trot
and fill a hundred cups.

Screaming for your money
seems the order of the day
and everyone is out
to get the highest kind of pay.

The world must be gone mad
I've heard it said before
and the madness just goes on
screaming for more and more and more.

We must get back to a normal pace
behaved and down to earth.
If we don't the rhetoric burger
