The Perry Family Tree – Genealogy Search
I’m researching the Perry family tree in Newfoundland and I can trace my ancestors back to Charles (Charlie) Perry from Exploit’s Island, Notre Dame Bay, NL. My records show he was born in 1807 and died in 1882. I cannot determine where he was born (originated) and if he had any siblings. His wife’s first name was Esther; don’t know her maiden name and she died in 1898 in Exploits. There are two stories: one is three brothers came to NL and because they couldn’t get along they separated and settled in different parts of the island. There is no record of where they originated. The other story is Charles was actually born at sea while sailing from the Channel Islands to NL. I have researched all the genealogy records that I know and have come up with a blank. If there is anyone who has searched the Perry family tree and can shed some light on the subject or any genealogy guru on NL history can help, please contact me.
