Late in the evening on may 5, 2006 my brother and I went to try our luck on some pike fishing at Lake Newell just south 10 km of Brooks, Alberta. After an hour of fishing and very few bights, and in that moment of giving up and going home i made my last cast for the evening, before the spoon (hook) hit the water the pike was out of the water after it. it took me 30 to 40 mins to land it and with a littel help from my brother what a fight it weight in at 24.9 pounds.
