The Old Perlican Trail
Dualsport motorbikes are the perfect vehicles to get around the beautiful coastal areas of Newfoundland. You can mix it up between the off road trail networks, and the scenic and twisty coastal roads.
The trail from Old Perlican to Kingston is one of my favorites of all the trails I've ridden on the island. So it was great to be able to run it again in the Fall of 2006.
My buddy Steve and I unloaded the bikes at a friend's cabin in New Melbourne, and then rode the bikes up the coastal road to Old Perlican. From there we took the old branch line railbed trail all the way down to Kingston. For the loop back to the truck we took the coastal road. Distance in total was roughly a 100 kms, with half of that being offroad.
It was a truly enjoyable way to spend the day in the great outdoors in Newfoundland.
