The Land Of Jigs And Reels
If you travel across the water
To the land of jigs and reels,
You’ll find a place that brings you close
To just how heaven feels.
Rugged beauty like nowhere else,
It’s part of her claim to fame.
A culture that is so unique,
There’s nothing quite the same.
The people are so friendly there,
Arms always open wide.
Every Newfoundlander shares
An amazing sense of pride.
If you are a Newfoundlander,
Then you know just what I mean.
There is no place like Newfoundland,
No matter where you’ve been.
From the tops of her granite mountains,
To her rugged, rocky shores,
You can be sure a visit there
Will leave you wanting more.
