I was home for a holiday the summer, and decided to visit Petty Harbour, as my dad grew up there; his name was John Bishop, a First World War Hero.
I went to a store named Herbie's Old Shop Crafts, and I asked Marguerite Weir if she knew my dad. She said, "Oh, yes; in fact, I have his grandfather's top hat upon the shelf." So I thought, This is five generations for the hat. I remember my grandfather wearing it, so I had my granddaughter Hollie Evans' (of Lucknow, ON) picture taken with the hat. I thought you might be interested. I hardly ever see Petty Harbour mentioned; it's a beautiful village.

My daughter Paulette lives in Paradise and she gives it to me every Mother's Day. God love her.
