The Garden
A poem by Arthur L. Andre,
husband of Catherine Andre Greene of Cape Broyle, NL
The coming of spring
What a delight
To look out the window
on a bright sunny morning
and see the renewal of life
Tiny blades of grass
peeking above the ground
in their bright green colour
early spring flowers
showing off their colours
for all to see
insects scurrying back
and forth from their nests
encouraged by warm sunshine to
balance the cycle of life
The garden, our own
little piece of Eden
with its abundance of life
for us to see and appreciate
the beauty of new life
