The Daisy
The daisies lie beneath the ground.
There’s not a sign of one around.
Just like an army lying low,
They wait there for their troops to grow.
They seem to wait until they’re free,
Then rise above for all to see.
So straight they stand, with heads held high,
In masses ‘long the roads they lie.
They march in motion, petals soar,
Just like an army in a war.
The glory of the daisy fair,
Sprays showers of beauty everywhere.
