The Birds on my deck
Today it seems we're closing in On this cold cold winter's call And it sure seems like a century Since the leaves began to fall> I look out on my patio The snow packed all around And see the little tiny birds Seems they're looking for the ground . They hang around there on the snow And are usually on my deck They feed on the seeds I give them And they never leave a speck . I wonder why they hang around Instead of finding a place that's warm I guess they're quite contented To weather out the storms. Not like the Monarch Buterfly They just won't stay around They're off and gone to Mexico Before the first snow hits the ground . They will stay down there in Mexico By the thousands in the trees They won't come back to Canada ' til we have that summer breeze . Submitted By: NULL
