Thanksgiving With the Pye Family
Taken Thanksgiving weekend, 2011 at Gregoire Lake near Fort McMurray. A little on the chilly side but a beautiful, sunny fall day nonetheless. Our family gathered for a Jigg's dinner cooked over a campstore (well, there were actually a few campstoves in use). Most of our family live in Fort McMurray, except our parents who travelled from Newfoundland, our brother Jamie and his family who live in Strathmore, and my daughter Wendy and her fiance who live in Edmonton (sadly, we were still missing a couple of family members). My nephew Spencer in the centre of the picture is holding a copy of the Downhomer. As the photo undoubtedly shows, a good time was had by all! Submitted By: Carol Parsons
