My son and I entered the Strongman/Strongwoman Contest at this year's Rigolet Salmon Festival this month. We had to take part in three events. The first challenge was to flip over a large tire at a set distance. The event was timed. The second challenge was to throw a log as far as we could. The event involved recording the distance thrown. The third and final event was to haul a log up to the top of the water off the dock and submerse and pull out again and again. The event was timed. I thought it was pretty cool that in the end when all three events were combined and the results were tabulated, it was my son Gavin and I who came out as winners! Mother/son strength!
