Stop Along the Path
Known for its diverse economy and thriving business community, Clarenville is now hoping to capitalize on its extensive history to attract more tourists to the town. Most people probably don’t realize Clarenville manufactured railway ties, built mine sweepers for the war and constructed schooners for the Labrador fishery. A group of residents, who recently formed the town’s first historic society, hopes to preserve the area’s fascinating history and help put the town’s heritage on the map. Submitted By: NULL
