Stadium of Olympia, Olympia, Greece
Picture it: a brave single mom, her two adventurous children, and her golden-aged mother on the vacation of a lifetime, cruising the breathtaking Mediterranean. It was late August 2019, it was HOT!! Our second to last port-of-call was the port handy to the ancient site of Olympia, Greece. As we walked through the once covered entrance to the stadium of the first track and field events I thought to take out my copy of the Downhome; what else would I be thinking about in that heat beside the coolness of home? I took the magazine everywhere and showed it to anyone interested in seeing pictures of our beautiful island and our amazing icebergs. In the attached photo are my son, Gilbert, my daughter, Emma, and me, Heather; my mother, Shirley, choosing to take advantage of the quietness of the empty ship and relax. Necessary are warm (hot) memories to assuage the long, cold winter. Submitted By:
