Springtime Again
The first signs of returning spring Are sensed more than are seen There is a feeling in the air Long before leaves are green A stirring in the human soul That foretells warmer days And evidenced sure by the sun With longer, stronger rays The snow and ice slowly retreats From even shady nooks And in the country there's a rush Of water in the brooks The country ponds again are blue They've shed their cloak of white The songbirds have returned once more To sing for our delight Winter's clothes are put away We think of seeds to sow The garden's dug, we clean the yard Like other years you know In the cycle of the seasons All are special for some thing But as the world awakens it Is nicer in the spring Submitted By: wayne taylor
