Last year we decided to breed our Quarter Horse mare Zoie. She has great breeding in her background and is going to be a grey. We bred her to a Black Quarter horse stallion named Diesel. He has great background breeding in him too. As we bred her I came home and made a bet with my brother Matthew that the foal was going to be a filly. Then a few weeks before the foal was born we made another bet that it wasn't going to be born on his birthday. I was right it wasn't born on his birthday. But on Febuary 17th after I came home from a meeting, I was getting ready for bed and my mom told me to get my barn clothes back on because the foal was about to be born. We both raced out to the barn at 10:17 p.m. It wasn't very long afterwards that the foal was born at 10:35 p.m. I tried to figure out names so hard becuase the foal was mine anyways, and sadly it was a colt. I named it Stroker and went out in the barn and called him Mateo (ma-tay-o) and he turned around and nicker and from right then on I knew his name was suppose to be Mateo.
