This story goes to show, that kids are more sensitive to the world around them than we give them credit for. My daughter Jayden recently decided that she wanted to cut off all of her hair. My first reaction was to say NO and not give it another thought. Her hair had been growing since birth, and she had never had a haircut. It was not until she said "Mommy, I will give my hair to a little girl who is sick and doesn't have any, so she can go to school and look beautiful." Than it struck me, if she had given it that much thought, and had it in her heart to help another child in need, who was I to stand in her way? So, off we went. The hairdresser cut 13 inches off in total, and we donated two ponytails today, (Feb 2, 2009) both 12 inches long each to the Canadian Cancer Society here in Corner Brook. She has made us all very proud, and has made some child somewhere, extremely happy.   Submitted By: Samantha Greene
