I am very interested in the history of the Resettlement Program in NL. I recently viewed with interest an award-winning video on the resettlement of Silver Fox Island, Bonavista Bay, by young Matthew Rogers of St. John’s, submitted to the Young Citizens Canada History Project in 2012. It was mentioned in a previous issue of Downhome. I was very impressed. It is so encouraging to see young Newfoundlanders take such an interest in this subject and in turn develop a great pride of heritage.
