I think you can surely call this story A Sign Of The Times.....In my community where i live we have a local cable station with one section for public announcements.Sometime last summer there was a notice there from the RCMP. Im not sure how the wording in the piece went but they were asking for anyone to come forward with any information on the persons responsible for killing a Ram on a farm in another community. My daughter 21, was visiting home for the weekend. She was after seeing the notice a few times and said nothing. Then myself and her were sitting there one morning when it came on again. She said, '' I don't understand what they are talking about here, how can anyone kill a ram and why would the police be interested in that, i just don't get it. I said,well, i guess it was worth a lot of money if it was used for studding purposes. I could see she didn't quite get what i meant so i said ,well, you know what a ram is don't you?, its a male sheep and its valuable because its used to make the female sheep pregnant.
