This beautiful beach on the Northern Shore, north of Bonne Bay is a secret to many across the land I've heard them say. But in the summer of 2010 they came from near and far; from New Brunswick, Quebec, BC and I guess Zanzabar. They were amazed at the beautiful sandy beach and the majestic mountains inland, while the children romped in the sunshine and on the fine grey sand; or swam in the Atlantic waters of this great Northern land. The second week of August saw temperatures soar, which warmed the shallow waters covering this sandy shore. The adults lay on their blankets in the sun as the breeze from the sea wafted their former cares away and children laughed with glee. But as I walked by myself farther along I became nostalgic for another time, when my sister and her husband in their mid-life prime, walked on this shore with Bessie and I. Now Max is gone to the shore above and Myrtle is growing old though she fought cancer successfully because of her trusting soul, but time is a sure reaper and I wondered if this would be the last time I would on walk on this beach by the sea or if God would grant us another visit here, for Myrtle, Bessie and me. Oh moments like this can bring one close to the spirit and humility and make repent of his selfish ways and his love of cupidity. And as I pondered God's great handiwork of mountains, land and sea I realize once again that all we have is from the hand of our great deity and what counts the most while on this earth is love of family and honest friends, and honest mirth without frivolity.   Submitted By: NULL
