I was in hospital recently for the second time in less than a month. My wife Susan bought me the usual crossword puzzle books, magazines and so on to help me pass the time. One of the magazines she bought this time was the Downhome. I was familiar with the Downhome before, but this was the first time I had read it cover to cover. I was quite impressed, and given some "around the bay" roots of my own, could relate to many of the articles.

I noticed that you were looking for some photographs of the Great Northern Peninsula. We spent a few days in the Rocky Harbour area this past summer; since photography is a bit of a hobby for me, I was, as usual, out and about taking some shots.  

I have another surgery scheduled for later in November and will be looking for the next issue of Downhome to again pass the time.
