Searching for the past
For the past 20 years I have been searching for pictures or stories from my past. I was born the seventh daughter (in a row) to Fintan Joseph and Joan Theresa (Gillis) MacPherson of Highlands, Newfoundland. My parents had nine children so by the time I came along pictures were a rare thing. The earliest picture I have is when I started school. I was hoping some of your readers may be able to give me more information or actual photos of my family. My mother was the daughter of John Francis and Margaret Mary Gillis of St. Fintan's. They ran a boarding house nearby the railway and also raised foxes. Any information would be greatly appreciated. This picture was taken of my three oldest sisters Rosemary, Sandra and Marilyn, in my grandmother's home, Elizabeth MacPherson (nee Hebb) in Highlands, Newfoundland.
