A picture of the mummers going onstage. Taken in Scotts Cove. From June to September, we have a number of kiosks that are operated by the locals who live here. From Monday to Friday we have local bands here that play in the cove. The town has a stage built in the shape of a boat, and this is where the bands play.
We get a lot of visitors from all over the world, and they stroll through the kiosks, then sit on the boat, listen to the music and watch the locals out dancing. The tourists love the music, especially the Newfoundland music in the two hours they play. Before you know it, the tourists are out dancing as well. It's amazing how much the locals look forward to this, as well as the tourists. The tourists will even ask the band to play one more song when the band announces it's the last song for the night.   Submitted By: NULL
