Yes,Savor the moments that are warm and friendly and especially the giggly ones.

I was just thinking about some of the names of Groups and One Man Bands that we used to Dance to at The Clubs in the Mid 70’s Altan Stamp from St.Vincent’s took over his Uncle George’s Club and used to have the Popular Bands from St John’s on Weekends and even had a Place on site to Board for the Weekend.

Here is a little list of the Top of my Head.Hope I did not forget Anybody.

Cerebrums hailed from Placentia area.

Rick And The Romans! from Holyrood area.
Tony Collins and The Visions (Joey Tremlett) out of Placentia.Tony was Singer Kevin Collins Dad.They Played for Garden Parties.Tony Sang mostly Country and his Bass Player sang the Rockers.Joey Tremblett on Accordion for The Old Timers.They were the first Guys I see use Big Amps and Ludwig Drums.
Johnny Francis and The Beach Combers out of Town and had a Sax Player and Played Garden Parties with a Fish Net as a Prop.Me and Sheila was popular then
The Soirees with the late Sheldon Thornhill on Squeese Box.Popular among the Older Folks.
Brian Finn and his One Man Band.Brian asked me to join a Band with him and I declined.Was not ready.He did Good on his own.
A.Frank Willis another Talented One Man Band who passed away too Young.
John P and The Dummy.I believe J.P was from New Brunswick.He was a good Musician and very funny with The Dummy.Dat What I said! Yes!
Peter Francis Quinlan.A one Man Band with recorded backing Tracks that some of the Guys from TNT out of Stephenville Studio for Him.Loved his Sweet Caroline and His Bee Gees Songs.
WGB.Never saw the whole Band.Ron played in Trepassey once with three other Players.I believe Rocky Wiseman Drummer and Sandy Morris on Lead Guitar.
Dick Nolan always had top Shelf musicians with him such as Ben Weatherby on lead and Joey Temblett on Accordion.The Liquor Book got the whole Hall doing The Polka.
Medicine Jar were from the Southern Shore and The Hart Brothers formly Ed,Fred and The Heart Beats were doing the Guitar Work.A Carey fella on Bass.Think it was Gord his name was.
Freeway was a three piece Rock Group from Grand Bank area that I heard a lot when I attended Trade School in Burin in 77.They were Great and really Loud.
Warlock out of Marystown in 77.They had a Keyboard Played named Reg and did a lot of Lynerd Skynerd songs and Eagles and The Strawbs.
TNT were from Stephenville.Only heard their Album my friend Aiden had it.Once Around The Harbour Song.

Bomb and Ace was my first time seeing The Drumming of Boomer Stamp up Close.They were fantastic on Cover Songs sounded just like The Originals.When they took Breaks they would put on Reel to Reel Music.

Who could forget Too Loud Brian MacCleod Guitarist from Town went on to Play with Chilliwack in 76 for The Lights of The Valley Album.Saw them at the Old Arena.The Arms of Mary was their Hit in 76.I tried keeping it to the Dancing Groups from that era.I saw Ryan’s Fancy and The Newfoundland Show Band in about 74.Lacking Money and not having a Car limited me not hearing more Bands.Think me and aiden did Ok.Altan was a Big Influence on our Musical Taste.Another Note.Guys danced back then.Dance Floors were Packed.
