Samantha on the Saugeen
A photo of my daughter, Samantha, with a beautiful brown trout that was caught on the Saugeen River on May 18, 2003.
We live in Loretto, Ontario, northeast of Brampton. It's just a little town out in the country, nice and quiet; not quite NL, but we really like it here.
We have been going to the Saugeen River for at least 10 years. Some really nice trout come out of there, and it's a great river for flyfishing. The one Samantha is holding was caught by a friend of ours. He caught 2 that day: one was 21 inches, the other 23.
