Salmon Cove River House – Then
Two pictures of an old house and a cabin. The old salt box house was constructed in the mid 1800's, where my ancestors and my dad were born and raised. The house was torn down in 1954. The cabin, which my wife (Angela) and I constructed, stands on the exact foundation and rocks that the old house was originally constructed on. The cabin is situated on the mouth of Salmon Cove River, located at Champney's East. Also, we opened up the old well and are presently using that also. The water is always cold and is gravity-fed to the cabin. All through the summer, we would sit at the table while watching the salmon jump in the cove. Submitted By: NULL
