“Rolling in the Dough”
A picture of my two grandchildren and a little friend, taken at my daughter's house in Victoria, BC when I was there with the family while my son-in-law was gone with NATO on the Winnipeg a couple of years ago. James is 5 years old, Katherine is 3 1/2; their last name is Allan. Their little friend is 1 1/2-year-old Ethan McIntyre, also of BC. This was one of the many times I made homemade bread while I was there. When it came time to knead down the dough, I washed the kids' hands and arms, greased them well and let them go to it; they had a very enjoyable time. My daughter Marilyn had their own little cook caps done for them, plus their aprons, so they were all ready for the big day. Note the little fist on Ethan; he got to take home 1/2 dozen dinner rolls at the end of the day.
