Rob Taylor Performs
My mother was a Bailey from Port Rexton, married to Hedley Wareham from Hr. Buffet. I make a trip home every other year and always look forward to the next. I will be 85 in '09 and have promised my family to be there for it. Last summer I had the great pleasure of attending eight kitchen parties in Fort Point, Goose Cove, near Trinity. It was organized by Maureen Howard of St. Catherine, Ontario. She plans to have it again next summer. A grand time was had by all. The great, world-known accordion player, Rob Taylor, was one of several guests - he was the greatest. He's travelled the world over - even played before the Queen. This year they raised $2,100 for the hospital in Clarenville. Maureen and Rob come "home" to Port Rexton every summer and a more delightful group is not to be heard anywhere. No trip home would be a "trip" without visiting your store - you have a great collection of books, of which I now have 36 to date, not counting the ones I've "passed" along. Submitted By: NULL
