Republican Flag at Gorak Shep
After making it to Everest Base Camp and taking the requisite photos with flag and Downhome cover, I put our names on the flag and stuck it on the main room of our lodgings at the last place before base camp, Gorak Shep, Nepal. It is accompanied by many other flags and names from around the world, hopefully in perpetuity.
Forgive the printing. A very stretchy flag was hard to write on. This photo was taken March 16, 2013 at an altitude of 5164 m at the rather cold place named Gorak Shep.
