Remembering…..
"i can remember kisses, planted softly on my cheek, i can remember a $2 bill, each and every week. i can remember peppermint, the smell upon his breathe, i can rememeber a funny laugh, and a big heart within his chest. i can remember earrings and lipstick, br>in her bedroom i did play, i can remember her waving, as we drove away. i can remeber cigarettes, he spent hours rolling, i can remember a hankerchief, he was always folding. i can remember a glimmer, i’d see it in her eye, i can remember my mother, when she found out they had died. i can remember the funerals, nanny first and then pop, i can remember a pink dress, wishing the pain would stop. but now i can’t remember, there faces i no longer see, i can’t remember the sound, of there voices, where can they be? but i will always remember love, and all they did give, and i will remember nan and pop, for as long as i shall live."
