Since I can remember, my great Nan Eleanor, my parents and I would go to Nan's hometown of Twillingate, NL every summer. Nan loved going to see her family in Twillingate, so each year we would take our camper and camp next to her sister's home. Nan grew up in Twillingate, but moved to Paquet, NL after meeting my great-grandfather. Nan raised all of her children in Paquet and all of her grandchildren grew up in Paquet, too, so my Dad was very close with his grandmother and grandfather. Nan always went back to Twillingate to see her family and really enjoyed trips there, even if it was just for the weekend. Nan loved to go to the lighthouse and would tell us all about growing up in Twillingate! Two years ago, sadly, Nan passed away, but my family and I still go to Twillingate and wherever we went in Twillingate there was a story to be told...
