Remember
Flanders Field once again filled with cold dead bodies
Still loved so much by others.
The loud noise filled the air
With so much pain and hurt.
Running and tripping over bloody bodies didn't seem to end.
The trenches so cold and hideous.
The taste of fear filled everyone's mouths.
Nobody could escape it.
The sound of gun shots filled their determined minds
With raging anger and inspiration to do more.
There is no escaping it.
Remember those who fought for us.
They put their lives aside for yours!
Be thankful you have what you do now
And with whom you have to share it with.
Remember the love there is to share.
Remember those who had the courage
To stand up for you and me!
As those guns roared and blared,
Every three seconds someone bore
The pain of a shattered heart and a broken hope.
Remember, they will live no more.
You just can't escape it.
