I have to disagree with Mr. Spurrell when he claims the mystery object is a torch lighter. I have attached a picture of a torch lighter which does have some similarities however it is not the same as your mystery objects.<br /> I believe your objects are pins to be used to attach slip covers or arm protectors to a sofa. The round sections could be covered with fabric to match the slip covers or arm protectors.
