Quite a sight!
My family and I lived in Chapel's Cove, at the top of Con's Hill, overlooking the waters of Harbour Main. We had a dog - Sunny, a white Golden Retriever and she loved the outdoors and her daily swim in the waters of Harbour Main. One day on our walk down to the water for her daily swim, on the hill overlooking the water there was an eagle, looking for a meal. Sunny flushed it off the hill! At the waters edge, where she usually rushed in to the water - full brakes and a puzzled look at me like, 'what is that thing in my water?!' This day, a minke whale (5.5m long) was in Sunny's swim spot. She barked and the whale departed her waters, allowing Sunny access for her daily swim. Quite a sight! Larry R.
