My Mom is a Newfie so that makes me half
When I tell people this, I always get a laugh
I love going there to visit usually once a year
When Mom tells me we're going, I always cheer
There's so much I love about visiting my Mom's home
Especially being able to go outside all day and roam
My Poppy will take me for a ride on the' Quad, I only have to say
My Mom says she's going to buy me my own one day
I say to my Mom, the next time we go to Newfoundland I want to do 'this'
She has a faraway look on her face because it's something that she will miss
She tells me stories of the freedom of growing up there
I know she loves and misses the fresh salty air
Maybe I'll get to spend a whole summer there one time
And have great memories like my Mom's that are all mine!
