Politics and Quagmires

Politics and Quagmires

Did you ever stop to think of this
The similarities that exist no doubt
Between our politics as we know them
And the quagmires round about

They say the subjects best to avoid
Are politics and religion
For so to engage will never end
In a clear winning case by a smidgeon

Politics are fraught with danger
And soft footing there we greet
And oft times we are in real trouble
When obligations we try to meet

While quagmires are terrains we know
So soft and mushy under foot
And areas we would rather avoid
To go there we're hard put

The analogy here is really quite sound
They both give the same result
A no win situation for sure
And could only cause insult

So If you're setting up a blog
This advice to you is bidden
You're well advised to stay away
From these topics so failure ridden

A little ditty with some tried and true advice about two topics to avoid when setting up a blog for the first time. The advice is self evident, and is not based on any personal experience by the author with setting up blogs

John Cornick
Halifax, Nova Scotia

Submitted By: John Cornick
