Our Mother Earth
April 5, 2010
Saving our planet is on my mind these days, and it's very sad to see people destroying it. We only have one Earth, we don't get a second chance.
I express my thoughts in my poetry, so today I wrote a poem called "Our Mother Earth."
Barbara (Reynolds) Somers
Our Mother Earth
Pesticides, insecticides, poison in our food, toxic
Waste, we're in a race to destroy our beautiful
World.
Global warming, our planet's dying, caused by
Human hands. Is it too late to save our Earth?
We have to take a stand.
Hurricanes, floods and earthquakes, our
World is drawing near. The Man above is
Looking down and even He's in fear!
We need to make a difference; it only takes
One voice and then a chain reaction starts,
My friends, we have a choice.
We can sit and watch our earth decay, or
Make a stand right now, to help in every way
We can, to save our world somehow.
