Our house is very simple, it is cozy and it is small….
But our door is always open, and that’s the most important thing of all.

Children come, family go, and many friends wander in…
Now this is the part where the story really begins.

To have a quiet space may be ideal for some….
But for us, we like the sound of people when they come.

Some people visit often, while others just once in a while…
But each of them is very special, and shares with us a smile.

We are an ordinary family and try never to be too proud…
Sometimes we forget our manners, make a mess, or talk too loud.

One thing we’d like to tell you; the most important thing to say…
Is that we always love to see you – in fact you often make our day!

We are always doing something, busy as we are…
But we are so happy to see you coming, that we keep our door ajar.

Family and friends come in, and through our house you roam…
Please come in and stay a while, please make yourself at home!

Some of you share old memories with us, while others only new ones we share…
But we want you to know that for each one of you – we really truly care!

Our house is often noisy, but this we love the best…
It means that loved ones have come to see us and we feel very blessed!

Our door is always open; please know that you are never a guest…
For you are always welcome and loved just like the rest!
